Appreciation

I have used the unbelievable excellent jaguar S type services ofered at Neils garage since 2009/10 and have found no problem to ever be beyond him ; to the extent in saying that if Neil had been on the Titanic ,it would certainly not have sunk ! ; he would have come up with a solution in time-- I am privileged to now be able to call Neil a friend and one that I know can be relied upon to solve car issues, without fuss, huffing and puffing ,evidenced at other garages, and always with the most cost effective solution. My Jaguar S Type is a 4litre V8 with 204,000miles on the clock, and still drives very well thank you to Neils Garage,together with his son Sam. Bob

Jaguar XF

After taking my car in to a main dealer in Huddersfield rybrook jaguar for a full service and to check out a problem with my stop start, they returned the car along with £2k worth or "urgent" and "advisory" issues. They advised the cambelt was overdue replacement (113k miles) quoting £800+ along with 6 or 7 others items that needed repaired/replaced. Upon ringing round independant garages and researching online all comments stated that the 2012 2.2ltr XF wasn't due a replacement cambelt h til 144k. Having lost trust in the main dealer who also failed to diagnose the stop start issue pointing possible blame to "a non approved jaguar battery". I took the long list of problems to Neil at winfield fearn he spent over 2 hrs reviewing the issues listed by main dealer and investigating the stop start issues using various diagnostics. Anyone fancy the chances that a garage would turn down the suggested work from a main dealer laid up on a plate just needing to quote a cheaper price than jag main dealer??? Well that's exactly what Neil did he put my mind at ease that the work wasn't required, he said he would reattach the lose heat shield on the exhaust the cost of 2x large washers much better than the £95 for a new heat shield suggested by jag! Toon my car in again today to get to the bottom of the stop start issue and he's sorted it replaced the smaller battery as it was putting out half the voltage, weird that jag main dealer didn't pick up on this when they "checked it out" suggesting further investigation at £150 p/hr. in summary Neil did a smashing job, honest, trust worthy and highly recommended. Very good pricing, family run business, I'll make sure my jag goes back to winfield fearn for as long as I own it.
